La Plata County Offices Moving to 1101 East 2nd Avenue
Durango, CO – As part of the Facility Master Plan process to address existing and future facility needs for County offices, Sixth Judicial District court functions and federal court/probation offices, La Plata County will be moving the following offices from the La Plata County Courthouse across the street to the new County Administration Building at 1101 East 2nd Avenue, Durango (formerly Vectra Bank):
- Board of County Commissioners Office and Meeting Rooms
- Assessor’s Office
- Administration Department
- Finance Department
- Procurement Department (moving from 235 Bodo Drive)
All of the above-listed offices will be closed to the public on Friday, June 12. On Monday, June 15, 2015 at 8:00 a.m., the Assessor’s Office will be open for business in their new office on the bottom floor of the County Administration Building (Suite A). On Tuesday, June 16 at 8:00 a.m., the Commissioner’s Office, Finance, Administration and Procurement Departments will be open for business in their new office space on the main floor of the County Administration Building.
The Board of County Commissioners will hold their first business meeting in the new County Administration Building at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16 in room E103 (Commissioner’s Board Room).
Stay tuned! An open house for the new County Administration Building will be scheduled in July for the public to visit the new facility.
