Lack of registration forces CoSEIA to cancel solar workshops at LPEA

Solar installers interested in certification can still register for sessions in Gunnison

Due to low registration, the solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal workshops planned for Aug. 26 at La Plata Electric Association (LPEA) have been cancelled. Those interested in either of the workshops offered through the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (CoSEIA) can still register to attend similar seminars set for Wednesday, Aug. 25 in Gunnison, Colo.

“CoSEIA has a minimum number of pre-registrations required to move forward with their sessions in any area,” said Sue Maxwell, LPEA project specialist working with CoSEIA to organize the workshops. “Unfortunately not enough people in our area signed up. We hope those who are still interested can attend the workshops in Gunnison, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused our members.”

On Aug. 25 in Gunnison, CoSEIA will offer the Advanced PV & Building Code Workshop and Solar Thermal: Combination Domestic Hot Water and Space Heating Design Options, as originally scheduled in Durango.

For further information on all CoSEIA activities or to register for the upcoming workshops, visit the CoSEIA web site, www.coseia.org/newsite/home.
