Local Television Station Announces Ownership Change

John Trousdale Acquires Inside Durango Television and Animas Media Production Company

Durango, CO: Inside Durango TV (IDTV) is now under new ownership; founder Rich Fletcher is handing the reigns to long-time business partner John Trousdale. IDTV has been broadcast on Durango’s cable system since 1983, making it the longest running locally produced television program in southwest Colorado. Mr. Fletcher said he is proud of how the business has expanded and to see John Trousdale take the lead.

“We see this as a win-win for positive transformation and growth of the business.” said Mr. Fletcher. “I’m very passionate about IDTV, and knowing that someone like John is taking over gives me full confidence that it will continue to have great success.”

Ownership of Animas Media LLC, the local television and video production company that produces IDTV, has also been transferred from Fletcher to Trousdale. Animas Media was founded by Fletcher in 1983, making it Durango’s first video and television production company. Animas Media has won numerous national awards for its work over the past three decades.

“IDTV and Animas Media are important to Durango’s community, and we look forward to continuing to provide our viewers and advertisers with cool local videos on TV and online, as well as a progressive and high quality production company.” said Mr. Trousdale.
