Durango, Colo. – Schlotzsky’s®, home of The Original® oven-baked sandwich and famous Fresh-from-Scratch® buns, today announces the opening of its newest Lotz Better® location at 846 Main Ave. in Durango on Feb. 12.
Owned by local area resident, Gene Denison, the bakery-cafe will feature a lineup of more than 15 different signature sandwiches served on its legendary Fresh-from-Scratch oven-baked sourdough buns, gourmet pizzas built upon its unique sourdough crust, artisan flatbreads, freshly made-to-order tossed salads, a variety of savory soups and delectable desserts. In addition, the restaurant will serve wine and local craft beers from Steamworks Brewing, Ska Brewing® and Durango Brewing Company®, as well as fresh-brewed coffee from locally owned Durango Joe’s.
The Durango Schlotzsky’s will kick off its grand opening at 10 a.m. with a day of fun-filled events including a prize wheel, Schlotzsky’s giveaways and more. Plus, Schlotzsky’s will reward the first 50 guests who purchase a 15-pack of Cinnabon® MiniBon® Cinnamon Rolls with one free small The Original sandwich per week for a year*. Additionally, guests who download the new Lotz4Me™ app on their smartphone can earn special sign-up offers and “buy one, get one” Pick 2 entrees.

Built with Schlotzsky’s rebranding efforts in mind, the restaurant is a co-branded with a Cinnabon® bakery where guests can enjoy a number of warm, delicious treats from Cinnabon, including the Cinnabon Classic Roll and CinnaPack® take-home packs. In addition, everything from tables and chairs to circular-themed local photography – featuring tongue-in-cheek phrases – is designed to entertain and cater to the guest. From lunch boxes to party trays, catering options are also available for meetings, community events, family gatherings and more – all prepared with your Schlotzsky’s favorites.
Additionally, the Durango restaurant will offer a new breakfast menu until 11 a.m. daily, including breakfast sandwiches, omlette wraps, oatmeal and yogurt with fresh toppings, muffins, scones and coffee.
