Purgatory Hosts Annual Job Fairs

Winter Seasonal & Volunteer Positions Available.

Durango, CO – Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort will host two fairs for winter seasonal positions. The Volunteer Hiring Fair is Monday, November 5 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds from 4-7pm. Purgatory’s annual Job Fair will be held on Sunday, November 11 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds from 9 am – 3 pm.
Volunteer Opportunities at Durango Mountain Resort

Seasonal volunteers are hired at Durango Mountain Resort in a variety of departments. Volunteers who work 10 days will receive a season pass and other benefits. Available positions include Mountain Safety, Guest Services, Food and Beverage, Mountain Operations, and more. Job descriptions and applications are located online at www.skipurg.com/careers. All applicants are encouraged to apply online prior to the Hiring Fair. The Volunteer Hiring Fair will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the La Plata County Fairgrounds.

Seasonal Positions at Durango Mountain Resort
Department representatives will be on hand to provide information, interview and offer jobs during Purgatory’s annual Job Fair on Sunday, November 11 from 9am-3pm at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. Applicants will learn about competitive wages and fun working atmosphere at Purgatory, as well as extra benefits for winter employees, including free skiing and riding at Purgatory, and discounted lift tickets at other Colorado resorts. Employees also receive discounts at resort restaurants and retail shops, free transportation from town and friendship passes for friends and family.

Seasonal positions are available in many departments, including Ski & Ride School, Food & Beverage, Lift Operations, Retail and Rentals, Lodging Services, Equipment Operations, Guest Services and more. Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort is scheduled to be open November 23 – March 31 for the 2012/2013 regular winter season.
