Sidny Zink Elected Chair of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants

Sidny K. Zink, CPA, co-owner of FredrickZink & Associates, P.C., was elected Chair of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants for the 2009-2010 board year, effective May 1.  As Chair, Zink will represent the 8,800 member organization at the state and national level.

 

Zink’s focus for the upcoming year will be to encourage the members of the society across the state to “Make Your Mark as a CPA” which means “being the best CPA you can be and sharing your talents with your community”.

 

Practicing what she preaches, Zink served on the Durango City Council for three years before being named mayor of Durango in 2006.  In addition to being involved with local politics, Zink is an active member of the business community including a seat on the board of First National Bank of Durango, a member of the Home Builders Association of Southwest Colorado, the United Way finance committee and Toastmasters.

 

Zink’s business partner, Chuck Fredrick, served as chair 10 year ago, only the second time in the Society’s history that a single firm produced two elected leaders.
