Social Networking Group Meets at the Irish Embassy-Wednesday, March 10th
Looking for a way to meet other business people in our community, but can’t fully commit to Business Networking International (BNI), Women’s Idea Exchange, Rotary Club, or other networking groups? Try attending the new social networking group that is well, just that, social! Last month, Cindy Coleman- organizer of the event- invited business people to attend a social night at the Irish Embassy. They meet on the second Wed. of the month (that’s tonight!) downstairs at the Irish Embassy and network over Guinness and Irish Whiskey.
“I started it last month because I know so many people who aren’t members of the chamber, BNI or other networking groups, but still want to meet people,” says Coleman. BNI, Durango Business Women’s Idea Exchange and other networking groups in town have structured meetings with presenters on the agenda; while that is great and formal, it’s also nice to be able to talk shop without restrictions on time in a more informal setting. Last month’s meeting had over 30 people and organizers in attendance and are hoping to see more this month.
Interested in attending? Head on down to the Irish Embassy between 5pm-7pm, Wednesday, March 10th. Don’t forget to bring a few business cards!
