Steamworks Brewing Co.’s “The Conductor” receives European award
DURANGO, Colo. – Competing against breweries from throughout the world, Steamworks Brewing Co. has earned a Silver medal at the 2008 European Beer Star Award competition. “The Conductor” was recognized as among the finest in the world in the English-style India Pale Ale category.
“The European Beer Star Award was created to acknowledge beers that are full of character and make the most out of the raw materials used,” said Kris Oyler, Steamworks CEO. “We were told that the judges sought both uniqueness and an authenticity of style, and the prize-winning beers were those that never failed to impress by their balance and superb taste. We’re very honored.”
For the 2008 competition, 65 international beer judges tasted a total of 688 beers from 32 countries, including brews from Europe,
