World Trade Center Denver sponsoring a “Developing Your Export Strategy” workshop at Fort Lewis College
Durango, CO – The Small Business Development Center at Fort Lewis College is partnering with the World Trade Center Denver to bring a “Developing Your Export Strategy” workshop to Durango. The workshop will be held in the Education Business Hall, Rm. 130 at Fort Lewis College on Thursday, November 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $75/$150. Registration is available at http://www.wtcdenver.org/events/training and by clicking on the “Developing Your Export Strategy” link under November 8.
This workshop focuses on developing a strategic and tactical plan for entering new export markets including selecting the right market for your product or service, determining how best to enter the market (through export brokers, sales reps or distributors among other possible vehicles), where to make the contacts necessary to get you there successfully, and how to deal with the unique challenges that you will face once you are there by looking at the practical business side of foreign regulations, language and logistical barriers, and fending off the inevitable invitation to corruption. Through a combination of lecture, discussion, and small group exercises, you can actually begin to develop the footprint of a successful market entry plan for your business.
The trainer, Craig Maginness, has extensive real‐world experience in the development and implementation of international business strategies, export market entry, and the management of international operations. Craig currently serves as the president and has previously served as chairman of the board of the World Trade Center Denver.
