2013 Peanuts^TM The Great Pumpkin Patch Express

October 12 & 13, 19 & 20, 2013

Durango, CO – Great Pumpkin Patch, Ride our train to the Pumpkin Patch to meet with Peanuts^TM characters Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lucy and bring home the perfect pumpkin! The Pumpkin Express is a fun filled 2 ½ hour excursion to the Pumpkin Patch.

During the 1/2 hour train ride to the Pumpkin Patch, children will receive a trick-or-treat bag to get goodies at the Pumpkin Patch and listen to “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”. At the Pumpkin Patch you will have about 1 1/2 hours to enjoy Charlie Brown Game Alley, live entertainment, hay wagon rides, happy hopper corral, corn pool, bouncy ghost castle, pumpkin carving artist and trick or treating! Kids will especially enjoy going through the maze to get to the pumpkin patch to pick out their own ‘perfect pumpkin’! Don’t forget to wear your Halloween costumes (and Mom & Dad too!) as we will have trick or treating and a costume contest with many great prizes.

For your convenience we also have a baby changing station, restrooms and First Aid station. A food tent is available at the Pumpkin Patch to purchase lunch, beverages and snacks. All of the above is included with your Standard-class ticket purchase!

PREMIUM CLASS OFFERING! Passengers on our premium car will enjoy all the offerings above PLUS exclusive seating in our premium seats, coffee or cold apple cider served in a souvenir mug and fresh doughnut holes served by a private car attendant during the ride.

Please remember that for this special event, tickets are required for all children aged 2 years old and up. This will reserve them their own seat and will ensure that they receive a trick-or-treat bag and a chance to pick out their perfect pumpkin!

On the return trip to Durango, kids receive an “I Rode the Pumpkin Patch Express” certificate!

Optional parking is available at the D&SNG Parking Lot on College Drive next to McDonald’s. Cost is $4 for cars.
Professional photographers will be taking photos of the Peanuts gang with children and their families! Photo packages are available for purchase.

SCHEDULE:
Trains depart the Durango station at 10:00am and 11:30am.
Allow 1/2 hour train ride each direction and about 1 1/2 hours at the Pumpkin Patch. (Total round trip time is about 2 1/2 hours.) Please do not leave personal belongings on the train when you get to the Pumpkin Patch.

Premium-class seating in open-air Rio Grande or Deluxe coach:
