Award-Winning Songwriter Offers Teen Workshop at the Durango Public Library

Durango, CO – Nashville songwriter and recording artist Andy Hackbarth will be offering a free teen (12- 17) songwriting workshop entitled, “”Be Your Own Rock Star!”” on July 30 at 2:30 p.m. at the Durango Public Library.   The 60- to 75-minute program introduces songwriting and lyric writing as a creative outlet for young adults in a fun and interactive way.  Using hit songs on Top 40 Radio as a model, attendees will learn basic songwriting concepts and, as a group, write and perform an original song which will be recorded and later e-mailed to attendees as an MP3!
