Bomb Threat Update at of 4 p.m.

 

Durango, CO –   Officials have determined that there is no longer a threat as a result of this incident, but continue to investigate the felony-level threat. Anyone with any information about the threat is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 247-1112 or the Durango Police Investigations at 375-4730.

Representatives from Durango Police, La Plata County Sheriff, Durango 9-R School District, Fort Lewis College, American Red Cross, La Plata County Office of Emergency Management, Medical Reserve Corps, Durango Fire and Rescue Authority, along with the staff of the Durango Recreation Center and La Plata County Fairgrounds all coordinated their efforts in the emergency response.

Durango School District 9-R and Fort Lewis College will be open for classes and La Plata County will be open for business as usual tomorrow.
