City Alert Update 8:30 AM

 

Durango, CO –   The City of Durango offices are open today, however some services may be delayed due to the weather conditions.  The updated information as of 8:30 a.m. is as follows:

• Transit services are now running on their snow schedule.
• Due to heavy snow, air travelers are advised to check with their airlines before coming to the airport.
• Durango Police would like to remind motorists to slow down because of the hazardous road conditions.
• City road crews are working to clear main roads and ask that snow shoveled from driveways and sidewalks be placed in the gutter rather than out in the street.
• Trash and recycling pick-up is running behind schedule due to the snow. Customers are asked to make sure their cans are shoveled out and accessible.
