City Offices Closed in Observance of Thanksgiving Holiday


Durango, CO – The following is the City facilities schedule for the Thanksgiving holiday:

City administrative offices will be closed including offices at City Hall, River City Hall, Police Station, Police Substation, Transit Center, Recreation Center, and Greenmount Cemetery) on Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Recreation Center and Chapman Hill will be closed Thursday, but open regular hours on Friday.

The Mason Center will be closed Tuesday, November 22 through Sunday, November 27; there will be no classes during this time.

The Main Library will be closed Thursday and Friday, but open on Saturday. All Library branches will be closed from November 22 until November 27.

Durango Transit will not have service on Thursday November 24. Transit will run Friday citywide service from 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p. m. and the evening bus will run from 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Trolleys will not have service on Thursday, November 24, but will run from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25 with one opportunity bus in service.

The Transit Center parking and ticket window will be closed Thursday, November 24 through Sunday, November 27.
There will be no trash or recycling pickup on Thursday, November 24th.

Thursday’s and Friday’s commercial trash and recycling will be picked up on Friday.

Residents with a Thursday recycling pickup are asked to hold their recyclables until the following week. Friday’s residential recycling will be picked up as usual on Friday.

The Recycling Center will be closed both Thursday and Friday.

There will be FREE parking at the meters in the downtown area Thursday, November 24th through Sunday, November 27th.
