City Offices Closed in Observance of the Labor Day Holiday

Durango, CO –   City administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 5th in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Additional closures include:  Greenmount Cemetery offices, Mason Center, Chapman Hill, and the main Library and branches

• The Recreation Center will open at 5:00 a.m. and close at 2:00 p.m. with the Aquatics area closing at 1:30 p.m.
• Trash and recycling pickup for commercial customers will occur as scheduled.  Monday’s residential trash will be picked up on Tuesday, September 6th, however Monday’s curbside recycling will be picked up on the following Monday, September 12th.  The recycling drop-off locations will remain open, but the Recycling Center will be closed on Labor Day.
• There will be limited Transit service on Monday.  The Trolley and Routes 2 & 3 for Fort Lewis College, North City Market and Walmart will run their regular schedules. Routes 4 & 5, Highway 160 West and Crestview will be “by request” only; please call 259-5438 to request a pickup. There will be limited service on the DAR Opportunity Bus and no service to Mercy Hospital.
• There will also be FREE parking at the meters in the downtown area on Labor Day.
