City Streets to be Re-Striped

 

Centerlines and lane lines on City streets will be repainted beginning Tuesday, October 12^th through Thursday, October 14^th  In order to stripe new bicycle lanes parking on some streets will be prohibited during painting.  “No Parking” signs will be placed along the following streets for bike lane lines beginning Monday, October 11^th 2010:

West 3^rd Avenue from El Paso/West Park Avenue to West 22^nd Street

East 3^rd Avenue from E 4^th Street to E 15^th Street

East 8^th Street from E 3^rd Avenue to E 8^th Avenue

Vehicles parked in the designated no parking areas will be towed away at the owner’s expense.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid driving across wet paint, to obey all traffic controls and to be aware of workers in the streets. Crews will be working from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Call 375-4800 with any questions.
