Colorado State Titling and Registration System Outage
Colorado State Titling and Registration System Outage
Durango, CO – La Plata County Clerk and Recorder Tiffany Lee Parker reports that the state computer system that provides motor vehicle titling and registration services is currently out of service. Officials have been working for the past week to restore the Colorado State Titling and Registration System (CSTARS) and expect it to be unavailable until Monday April 4, 2011. The outage occurred during maintenance efforts.
As a result of this outage, county offices across the State are not currently able to provide same-day printing of vehicle titles. “This system outage won’t affect any fee or registration transaction, only vehicle title printing,” explained Parker. “Title documents cannot be printed until the state system is restored. The documents will be mailed to the vehicle owner at that time.”
Updates regarding the CSTARS system can be found at the State’s official website at www.colorado.gov.
