Credit and Debit Card Fraud Discovered

The Durango Police Department is investigating large scale credit card and debit card fraud which occurred at Mama’s Boy Italian Ristorante, 2659 Main Avenue, Durango, Colorado.

The computer system at the restaurant was compromised in early August and a virus was discovered in the middle of October. All credit card and debit card transactions during this time were sent to a computer hacker. To date, over 70 credit cards and debit cards have been duplicated and used in other states.

If you visited Mama’s Boy Italian Ristorante between August 1 and October 15 of this year and paid with a credit card or debit card, please contact your financial institution immediately. Any cards used at the business during this time period should be de-activated and replaced before fraudulent activity occurs.
