Diapering Durango’s Tiny Heinies!!!!

What: Diapers, Formula, Baby Wipes
Where: First National Bank of Durango main lobby;

First National Bank in Bayfield,
Boxes in the entries of City Market North and South, Albertsons beginning the 17th, or call and we will gladly
pick them up.

Unfortunately, the economy has not seen a significant uptick. Consequently, there are still many families in Durango who continue to struggle to make ends meet. One vulnerable segment of our population can be specifically impacted by this situation…our sweet babies. And the story is still the same…when money is tight; buying diapers can be a real challenge. Babies can be left in diapers too long, causing diaper rash or infection, which can cause them to be cranky and irritable which can then be a cause for abuse. Disposable diapers are even sometimes reused…Yuck!

SO…once again we are sponsoring a diaper drive to provide diapers, wipes and formula for Durango’s smallest citizens.

It costs approximately $75/month for diapers for a baby. Formula can be $100 and baby wipes are additional.

We, with the support of First National Bank of Durango, are sponsoring a local diaper drive. The diapers, formula and baby wipes will be delivered to the following agencies for their clients who request diapers:

Manna Soup Kitchen Advocacy for La Plata
The Family Center Durango Food Bank
VOA – Safe House and Durango Community Shelter

If you would like to participate, you can drop diapers by First National Bank lobby during the weeks of November 7th – December 9th. Or, if you want, call and we will pick them up. Or, one additional option, if you would like to just write a check to cover some diapers and drop it in the mail, we will take any moneys and purchase diapers, formula and baby wipes.
