Durango Animas River Corridor Management Plan to be Discussed in Series of Community Meetings
Durango, CO: The City of Durango, in collaboration with the National Park Service Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program, would like to encourage community participation in the creation of the Durango Animas River Corridor Management Plan. The Plan was initiated this summer with a community survey on use of the Animas River in Durango. Results of the survey and additional information on the planning process can be found on the City of Durango website at www.durangogov.org by using the link on the home page for the Animas River Management Plan.
A series of community meetings have been scheduled beginning on November 10, 2011 with an Open House from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the La Plata County Fairgrounds in the Pine Room. Learn the what, why, who, when and how related to the Animas River Corridor Management Planning Process. The schedule and topics for discussion on the subsequent community meetings are also available on the City website.
