Durango Chamber Or Commerce Announces “Finalist” For Annual Awards.

The Durango Chamber of Commerce has announced the three finalists for each of the eight categories that will be presented at its January 19th, 2012 Annual Awards Ceremony to be held at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College. Other awards to be presented that evening include: Agriculturist of the Year, Barbara Conrad Award, Diplomat of the Year and the Morley Ballantine Award. The theme for this year’s event is “DURANGO ROCKS”!

Nomination Finalists for CITIZEN OF THE YEAR are: Rod Barker, Charlotte Pirnat and Katharine Roser

Nomination Finalists for BUSINESS OF THE YEAR are: Alpine Bank, Animas Surgical Hospital and Durango Electrical Services

Nomination Finalists for SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR are: April’s Garden, Ore House Restaurant and Russell Planning & Engineering

Nomination Finalists for ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR are: Buzztown.com, FastSigns of Durango and James Ranch

Nomination Finalists for NON PROFIT OF THE YEAR are: LPEA Round-up,
Manna-Durango Soup Kitchen and Volunteers of America

Nomination Finalists for BILL MASHAW VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR are: Mike & Sandy Bruce, Pat & Calvin Story and Terry Swan

Nomination Finalists for SPIRIT OF DURANGO AWARD are: Durango Arts Center, Hillcrest Golf Club and Leland House/Rochester Hotel

Nomination Finalists for GREEN BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARD are: Alpine Bank, Linda’s Local Food Café and Open Shutter Gallery

The Durango Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that this year’s event, which is open to the public, will feature an entertaining and poignant multimedia presentation, featuring all of our honored finalists.

The tickets are $30 each and include the pre-awards reception (from 5pm – 6:30pm) with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails (cash bar) and the awards show (beginning at 6:30pm).
