Durango Police Looking for Car Theft Suspects
Durango, CO: Residents throughout the Durango area have experienced a rash of car break-ins as well as two stolen vehicles in the month of January.
The Durango Police Department responded to 12 incidents where cars were broken into and items were stolen from inside the vehicles as well as 2 incidents where vehicles were stolen. In all instances the vehicles were left unlocked. These break-ins started on January 7, 2012 and the latest one was reported on January 25, 2012. The police department has reason to believe that all of these break-ins and stolen vehicles are related to the same suspects and they are possibly from the New Mexico area.
The stolen vehicles are a 2006 olive green Honda Pilot with a Thule rack on top and a 2005 gold Honda Civic.
