Durango Road Report for the Week of August 24th

 

Roads:

El Paso Street:

El Paso St. between Roosa and Eastlawn remains closed for curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement and repaving.

West 2^nd Avenue from 22nd Street to 25^th Street

West 2nd Avenue between 22^nd and 25^th Streets will be closed to through traffic as crews continue to replace a waterline and sewer main.

            Alley between Main Avenue and East 2^nd Ave

                        Atmos Energy continues to install a gas main in the alley between Main and East 2^nd Avenues for the stretch between College Drive and 12^th Street.  Access to the alley will be limited during construction.  For the week of August 17^th, crews will be working in the alley between 7^th and 8^th Streets.  Alleys will be open overnight to allow commercial deliveries.

            Animas View Drive

City crews will be pruning trees along the public rights-of-way on Animas View Drive, Monday through Friday this week.

Trail Construction/Closures:    Crews will be working on the section of the Animas River Trail behind the La Plata County Fairgrounds, Monday thru Thursday.

 

Special Events:    San Juan Brew Fest will close the 1200 block of Main Avenue near Buckley Park from 12:00 noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 30th.
