Durango, CO: The following is the road report for the week of May 24, 2010:
Road Construction:
Florida Road: Reconstruction of Florida Road between E. 3rd Avenue and E. Animas Road continues. Traffic is one way, westbound only from N. College Drive to E. 3rd Ave.
Highland Avenue: Highland Avenue from Kearney Place to Crestview Drive and Kearney Place from Glenisle Avenue to Highland Avenue will be open to local traffic only through June 11th for a waterline replacement.
Special Events:
Iron Horse Bike Classic Tour Race: May 29, 6 – 9 a.m.
- College Ave from Narrow Gauge to Camino del Rio west bound will be closed.
- College Ave from Camino del Rio East bound to Narrow Gauge will be restricted to 1 lane.
- North Bound Hwy 550 from Durango High School to Iron Horse Inn all traffic is requested to remain in the left lane
- At Animas view drive and Hwy 550 north all traffic is restricted to left lane only.
- Watch for Bicycles!IHBC Criterium Race: May 30 3 a.m. – 7 p.m.
NO PARKING or traffic will be allowed on the following streets:
- Main Avenue, 800, 900, 1000
- West 100 blk of 9th & 10th Streets
- East 100 blks of 8th, 9th, 10th streets
- E 200 blks of 7th, 8th, 9th streets
- 700 blk of E 3rd Ave
Watch for detours, and pedestrians.
