Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Announces Fifth-Annual  PeanutsTM The Great Pumpkin Patch Express Event

 

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad begins service to The Great Pumpkin Patch on October 16, 2010. The train departs the Durango depot for a two and one-half hour round-trip adventure on October 16, 17, 23 & 24.

Passengers will be greeted by Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy upon arrival at the most sincere pumpkin patch. Passengers will enjoy hayrides, live musical entertainment, a hay bale maze, temporary tattoos, bounce houses, trick or treating, and each child will select the perfect pumpkin to bring home. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Trains depart the Durango depot at 10:00 am and 11:30 am. Deluxe-class seating in the Prospector car is $34* for children (ages 2-11) and $42* for adults. Standard-class tickets are $24 for children (ages 2 -11) and $32 for adults. The Great Pumpkin Patch Peanuts Express Package
(Train runs Saturday and Sunday – October 16-17 and 23-24): Brief Description: All aboard as the Durango Train departs the Durango depot for a 2.5 hour round-trip adventure Saturday and Sunday October 16 through October 24. Once on-board, passengers will hear the story, It’s a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and will be greeted by Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy upon arrival at the pumpkin patch. Passengers will enjoy hayrides, live musical entertainment, a hay bale maze, temporary tattoos, bounce houses, trick or treating, and each child will select the perfect pumpkin to bring home. To add some seasonal magic, children are also encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for this one-of-a-kind adventure!
