Fall Cleanup Begins October 12

 

Durango, COThe City’s Fall Cleanup begins on Monday, October 12 and offers residents an opportunity to conveniently dispose of cumbersome household refuse and yard waste.

This year, the City is offering an interactive map where you can now search by your address and find our which week Fall Cleanup comes to your neighborhood.  For an easy link to the site, please visit the City’s website at www.DurangoGov.org.

The fall cleanup pickup schedule is as follows:

Week of October 12 – Areas to the east, including Riverview, North College, Hillcrest and Skyridge

Week of October 19 – Areas from Park Avenue north, both east and west of Main Avenue, including the Animas City

Week of October 26 – Areas to the west, including Crestview, Needham, Rockridge and Junction St neighborhood

Week of November 9 – Areas south of 15th Street and west of 9th Avenue, including residential areas of Highway 160 West and East (Three Springs) located within the City limits

Materials should be placed out for pickup on the weekend before your area is scheduled for collection. Residents are asked to separate tree limbs, brush and clean lumber waste from refuse so that they can be shredded for mulch and reused. Sorry, but we can’t accept computers, televisions, rocks, batteries, tires, paint, waste oil/filters, pesticides, hazardous waste, and liquid waste.  For a list of items and locations for recyclable materials, please visit www.DurangoRecycles.com.
