Florida Road Reconstruction Construction Schedule Update

 

Construction traffic control for the Florida Road Project begins tomorrow.  Westbound traffic on Florida Road will be restricted to one-way heading into town from North College Drive to East 3^rd Avenue. Motorist wishing to travel east, heading out of town on Florida Road, will be detoured to 32^nd Street to East Animas Road and will reconnect with Florida road where it meets East Animas Road. 

 

Traffic along Florida Road between North College Drive and East Animas Road will remain two-way during the majority of the project to allow access to local businesses. Riverview Drive, Colorado Avenue, Aspen Drive, and Holly Avenue will all be accessible to those residents. 

 

The traffic control is expected to remain in place for the duration of the reconstruction project – through the end of the year.  Concrete Express Incorporated (CEI) is under contract with the City of Durango for the reconstruction of Florida Road from East 3^rd Avenue to East Animas Road.
