Food Tax Rebate Program available for residents

DURANGO, Colo. – The City of Durango is now accepting applications for the utility refund program.  Residents with a total household income for 2008 of $29,700 or less may qualify for the Food Tax Rebate.

One	$20,800	$ 50.00
Two	$23,750	$ 98.00
Three or more (dependents)	$26,750	$120.00
Four or more (dependents)	$29,700	$144.00

Only residents of the city who were full-time residents within the city limits on December 31, and for the full 12 months of 2008, are eligible to file a claim for themselves and all eligible members of their household. 

Applications are available at City Hall and the Senior Center and online at http://www.durangogov.org/forms.cfm. The form must be submitted by June 30, 2009.  For further information, call City Hall at 375.5037.
