HABITAT FOR HUMANITY CELEBRATES 11TH ANNUAL LIQUOR WORLD WINE TASTING & SILENT AUCTION

A great cause and a great price embody Habitat for Humanity’s premier event of the year.  The DoubleTree Hotel in Durango will again be the setting for the Liquor World Wine Tasting and Silent Auction to be held on Friday, November 6th from 5:30pm-8:30pm.  Proceeds will benefit Habitat’s upcoming construction in Bayfield.

The Wine Tasting will include over 300 selected wines including sparkling wines and ports.  A broad selection of hors d’oeuvres will deliciously compliment the wines.  This light fare will be provided by Durango’s finest restaurants and caterers while sponsored by local businesses and individuals.

The Silent Auction items are sure to invite you to make a generous donation to Habitat and take home a special find, ski and train passes, art treasures, local gift certificates and more.  Also available this year are vacation packages to Monterey, Napa Valley, San Diego, Whistler, Cancun, and Las Vegas- most packages include airfare!  You can find a complete list of auction items on our website at www.habitatdurango.org.

And that’s not all. while you sniff, sip and swirl your way through the array of wines and silent auction items, you’ll do so to the smooth sounds of the Jeff Solon Jazz Group.  A local favorite that is sure to add just the right touch to the atmosphere of this lovely event.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory chocolate fountain will be flowing!  In their fifth year supporting this event, Fuzziwig’s fun, fabulous and decadent treats add the final gratification to the evening.
You can purchase your tickets in advance for $30 at Liquor World, Alpine Bank, and the Habitat Home Supply ReStore.  Tickets can also be purchased the night of the event at the door for $40. Every attendee purchasing a
ticket will receive a commemorative wine glass celebrating our 11th anniversary of the benefit and a chance to win a mystery item!
