Halloween Events for Kids at the Durango Public Library

Cerridwen, the Halloween witch will usher in Halloween for kids at the Durango Public Library on Tuesday, October 26 at 4:00 in Program Room 1.  Cerridwen (alias Erica Sodos) performs magic, casts spells, spins witchy tales, and incorporates plenty of comedy and audience participation in her shivery performance.  Erica is a performer, clown, and magician with an extensive background in theater.

This free children’s event is open to the public and is funded by the Friends of the Library.

Preschool Storytimes held at 10:30 on October 27 and 28 will feature Halloween stories read by Kerry and Rachael. The kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and parade around the library following the Storytime programs.

Stephen will present “Spine Tingling Tales” at 4:00 on Thursday, October 28 in the Storytime Room. This program is for kids ages 7-12 who want to be scared. Costumes are strongly encouraged. Ghastly treats will be served following the program.

For additional information contact the library at 375-3380 or go to the library’s website at durangopubliclibrary.org.
