HAUNTED HOUSE MAKES FOR FRIGHT NIGHTS AT NEW MUSEUM
Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum hosts Halloween Haunted House
Ignacio, CO – Freak seekers have a treat waiting for them in a specially designed Haunted House at the new Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum, just in time for Halloween. Prepare to be scared in the Monster Room, Meat Cooler and Butcher Room created by Superior Exhibits & Design Inc. The company’s semi-trailer filled with goblins, ghouls and ghosts has just arrived from the Chicago area with a truckload of scary surprises for Haunted House visitors.
Fright Nights at the museum will begin Thursday, October 20 and run for seven more nights through Halloween, Monday, October 31. Dates and hours are:
§ Thursday, October 20, 5 to 9 p.m. § Friday, October 21, 6 to 11 p.m.
§ Saturday, October 22, 6 to 11 p.m. § Thursday, October 27, 5 to 9 p.m. § Friday, October 28, 6 to 11 p.m.
§ Saturday, October 29, 6 to 11 p.m. § Sunday, October 30, 5 to 9 p.m.
§ Monday, October 31, 5 to 9 p.m.
Trips through the Haunted House are $7 each or $20 for three trips. Thrill seekers should be 12 or older to avoid frightening younger children. Visitors should be prepared for a very dark experience. Children under 12 are invited to the Kids Korner, where they can take part in activities specially designed to engage them in Halloween activities. The cost is $3 each.
The Haunted House experience at the new museum is on loan through a generous donation from Superior Exhibits and Design, which fabricated the world class exhibits in the museum’s Permanent Gallery. Their multi-dimensional creations include scenery, graphics as well as dramatic light and sound effects that transport visitors to new realms.
The museum is located at 77 County Road 517, at its intersection with Colorado Highway 172. Ignacio is 25 miles southeast of Durango, Colorado. More information about the Haunted House is at [email protected].
