LA PLATA COUNTY CLERK AND RECORDER’S OFFICE OFFERS CONVENIENT ONLINE ACCESS TO RECORDED DOCUMENTS

 

Durango, CO – The La Plata County Clerk and Recorder’s Office is now offering expanded online services. These services allow the Clerk’s Office to provide greater customer convenience and reduce the need for travel to the office.  The expanded online services include “E-Recording,” which allows an individual or business to record documents online.  This online service is free: however all recording fees still apply.  For information about how to begin e-recording documents, please contact the County Clerk’s Office at 970-382-6281.

 

In addition, all citizens will benefit from the PaperVision subscription service, which will provide on-line access to most recorded documents.   Three levels of subscription services are available through PaperVision:

 

1.  Effective April 1, 2010, anyone will be able to view most public recorded documents online from any location with internet access at no charge.  The website to access this free service is:  https://papervision.laplata.co.us.  Internet Explore version 6 or higher is necessary to use this service.

  

2.  Effective immediately, individuals or businesses who would like the ability to access and print public recorded documents online may purchase a subscription to do so.  The subscription fee is $100 per month and provides priority access to the recorded documents database and rights to print unlimited copies.

 

3.  Users such as title companies may continue to purchase bulk image rights for the daily recordings and indexes.  For this service, users will reimburse the County Clerk for actual costs incurred in providing the data.
