Lightner Creek Bridge Replacement on C.R. 207

Durango, CO – La Plata County has contracted with GA Western Construction to replace the Lightner Creek Bridge on County Road 207. The work will begin on Monday, April 22, 2013 and is scheduled for completion by Friday, September 6, 2013. The existing bridge will be replaced by a precast concrete bridge.

Regular working hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Traffic will be routed through a two-lane detour while work is in progress. Delays of up to 20 minutes should be anticipated; however, every attempt will be made to minimize traffic delays during peak morning and afternoon commuting hours. Motorists are encouraged to allow a little extra travel time and to drive with caution through the work zone for their own safety and the safety of the work crews.
