DURANGO, Colo. – An Open House covering the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between La Plata County and Chevron Midcontinent, L.P. and Four Star Oil & Gas Co. will be held Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Animas Room at the La Plata Fairgrounds Extension Building, 2500 Main Ave., Durango.
La Plata County has requested the informal public forum for review of Chevron’s infill drilling application to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission for 80-acre spacing of Fruitland Coal Wells in certain areas of La Plata County. The open house will provide property owners an opportunity to learn about the infill application and share any comments with Chevron and La Plata County staff. Chevron representatives will provide an overview of plans related to the application, answer questions, and discuss issues of concern to property owners.
