Ride the Free Shuttle to the Snowdown Parade

 

Durango, CO –   Going to the Snowdown Parade on Friday night?  Avoid the hassle of trying to find a parking place downtown and ride the free shuttle!  Durango Transit will offer free shuttle service from the fairgrounds to the downtown Transit Center, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and running every 15 minutes.  At the end of the parade, shuttles will again run every 15 minutes until 8:00 p.m.  Durango Transit will also run the evening loop from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. and will offer Buzz Bus service between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. for those residents who may have had one too many “Barefoot on the Beach” cocktails.

 

In addition, the City would like to remind everyone that no parking will be allowed on Main Avenue after 4:00 p.m. on Friday to allow City crews to make preparations for the parade.  Barricades will be place on Main Avenue prior to the parade and cars parked along Main Street after 4:00 are subject to be towed.  Streets crossing Main Avenue will also be closed beginning at 4:30 p.m., although College and 9^th Streets will remain open until the parade starts.  Streets will re-open shortly after the parade.
