School Closures

 

Due to extreme weather conditions, Superintendent Owen has canceled school for Tuesday, December 8, 2009. All 9-R after-school events, practices, activities, and the 9-R Board Meeting are also canceled.

Based on information from the national weather service, the storm may lift tomorrow evening. It is, therefore, anticipated that all schools will reopen on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. As more information is available, I will post updates to our website (http://durangoschools.org) and relay information to the media. Please continue to check the website throughout the day.

9-R is committed to the safety and health of its students, staff and community. Our Facilities Department will be working hard to eliminate the excess ice and snow in our school parking lots and walkways prior to the reopening of school.
