SOUTHWEST COLORADO STORM UPDATES:     

 

US 160 WOLF CREEK PASS:  For the safety of the traveling public the pass will close tonight at 6 PM. Crews will continue to plow the pass during the night in preparation for avalanche control work tomorrow morning (conditions will be assessed around 8 AM).  

US 550 COAL BANK & MOLAS PASSES:  ANTICIPATED TO CLOSE BY 8 OR 9 PM THIS EVENING. CREWS WILL ASSESS CONDITIONS AND PREPARE TO DO AVALANCHE CONTROL WORK TOMORROW, AS WEATHER PERMITS. THE STORM IS BRINGING 2 INCHES OF SNOW PER HOUR AND HIGH WINDS WILL CAUSE LOW/NO VISIBILITY CONDITIONS.  

US 550 RED MTN PASS:  Closing now – 5 PM  

SH 145 LIZARD HEAD PASS:  Closing after cleared, starting around 6 PM
