Stormwater management ordinance meeting scheduled

DURANGO, Colo.  The City of Durango will host a public meeting Friday, July 17 to discuss proposed revisions to the existing City Code as it pertains to construction of site stormwater runoff control and post-construction stormwater management.


The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at the Durango Community Recreation Center in the Windom & Sunlight conference rooms. City staff, as well as a representative from the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, will be available for questions.


A copy of the proposed ordinance and a table comparing the City’s stormwater discharge permitting systems requirements with those of the State of Colorado is available for review on our City website at http://www.durangogov.org/ under the “Items of Interest” section on the home page.


The City welcomes any and all comments, questions and concerns residents and business owners may have for the proposed code revisions. Those unable to attend the meeting are invited to send comments to [email protected].
