Umbrella marketing program designed to boost revenues during the holidays
Durango, CO – The Durango Business Improvement District (BID) is currently preparing for the 8th Annual HOLiDAZZLE, the umbrella promotion designed to stimulate Downtown shopping and attendance to all events happening in and around Durango during the holidays. Organizations and businesses planning special events between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve are asked to submit their event information to Pam Glasco at the BID office via email, [email protected], by Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
Additionally, the BID will reprise the HOLiDAZZLE Merchant Gift Drawing and prepare promotional materials in support of the effort. Merchants who will supply an in-store opportunity drawing during HOLiDAZZLE are also asked to inform Glasco.
“We are designing posters as well as flyers for newspaper insertion and distribution at hotel front desks and the Welcome Center,” said Glasco. “We want to make sure everyone is included and are able to take advantage of this BID promotion.”
In 2011 more than 40 “dazzling” activities and events were included in the HOLiDAZZLE promotion. Also, 85 Downtown merchants offered opportunity gift drawings worth a total of more than $7,000.
