DURANGO – On Thursday, April 22, 2010, one of the largest research showcases in the region will be held as part of Academic Excellence Month at Fort Lewis College. For a fifth year, the School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences Undergraduate Research Symposium will display some of the best student research going on at the College during a full day of presentations.

The students themselves will present their research projects from 1 to 5:15 p.m. in the Chemistry Hall, Rm. 130. Following the presentations, a reception will be held in the Ballroom from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. where the student researchers will be available for more personal discussions of their work.
Members of the community are welcome at all of the Symposium events to view the research projects and talk with the students.
In addition to the students’ work, a reception and dinner featuring Symposium keynote speaker, Dr. Jill Singer, Earth Sciences and Science Education Department director at Buffalo State University, will begin at 12 p.m. in the Chemistry Hall, Rm. 130.
