College Goal Sunday at Fort Lewis College offers financial advice help to area students and families
On Sunday, February 21, 2010, Fort Lewis College will be one of 15 state institutions participating in Colorado’s 4th annual College Goal Sunday. The aim is to provide interested students and parents with free financial aid assistance in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
College Goal Sunday was first started in 1989 in Indiana to help students there with the financial side of going to college. Since then, the program has gone national and expects to help 100,000 students across the country this year. Students can also enter to win a $1,000 scholarship.
Anyone interested in learning how to find money for college is invited to Reed Library at Fort Lewis College from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 21.
