How the Affordable Care Act Affects Your Family

Durango, CO – San Juan Basin Health Department wants local residents to know that there is still time to find affordable health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado and Medicaid. No-cost and reduced cost insurance is available to many Coloradans, even those with pre-existing conditions.

Kevin O’Connor, Health Coverage Guide for San Juan Basin Health Department, is providing free informational presentations for community members in February and March. He will explain how health insurance options have changed and how you and your family may be affected. He will also discuss how to apply for Medicaid or private insurance through Colorado’s new health insurance marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado.

These presentations will take place at the Durango Public Library on February 11 and March 11 at 6:00pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop computers or tablets to access www.connectforhealthco.com during the presentation.
