Join Fort Lewis College in celebrating Fiesta on the Mesa on September 12

Durango, CO – Fiesta on the Mesa 2012 will be held on Wednesday, September 12, from 5-8 p.m. on the Fort Lewis College Student Union Plaza. The community is invited to join with the College in partaking of the great food and entertainment that makes Fiesta on the Mesa one of the most popular events on campus.

El Centro de Muchos Colores, the College’s Hispano resource center, holds the Fiesta to demonstrate the pride the Hispanic students, faculty and staff have in their cultural heritage and celebrate the diversity of the FLC community. The Fiesta also commemorates National Hispanic Heritage Month.

A traditional Hispanic meal is free to all FLC students, faculty and staff with ID. For community members and guests, the meal price will be $8 for adults and $4 for children under the age of 10.

Free for everyone is the Fiesta on the Mesa entertainment. Entertainment this year includes live norteño music and mariachi. In addition, the colorful Baile Folklorico dance group will be back again to brighten up the evening celebration.
