Library to Host 3rd Annual Literary Festival
Durango, CO – The Durango Public Library’s third annual Literary Festival kicks off on Friday, September 28 at 5:30 p.m. with an opening reception with hors d’oeuvres and beverages, followed by a 7:00 p.m. presentation and book signing by featured author Ellen Hopkins – the New York Times bestselling author of Crank, Identical, and Triangles. The Literary Festival continues on Saturday, September 29 with a 10:00 a.m. performance by storyteller Indiana Bones, a Local Authors Fair in the lobby from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., and a Censorship Panel Discussion at 2:00 p.m., featuring Ellen Hopkins and Chris Finan, President of the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression.
The 2012 Durango Public Library Literary Festival is sponsored by the Friends of the Durango Public Library, City of Durango, and the Durango Public Library. All book sales for the festival are provided by Maria’s Bookshop.
