9th Annual Durango Parks & Recreation Triathlon

Durango, CO – Register NOW for the 9th Annual Durango Parks and Recreation Triathlon. The event kicks off at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4. Register at the Durango Community Recreation Center or online at www.active.com. The cost is $45.00 for individuals and $90.00 for a team. No race day registrations will be accepted.

By incorporating sprint triathlon distances, Durango Parks and Recreation created a practical race for the beginner triathlete as well as the seasoned veteran, looking to complete a competitive training course. The race begins and ends at the Durango Community Recreation Center. The course includes a 500 yard swim in the lap pool, a 13 mile bike ride, and a 5K (3.1 mile) run.

Durango Parks and Recreation will be using chip timing for this event. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a schwag bag full of goodies from local businesses and sponsors. Following the race, participants and their families will gather at the Durango Community Recreation Center Amphitheater for a barbeque and share in the success of the day.
