City to host solar power public forum

DURANGO, Colo. – The City of Durango will host a public forum about solar power on July 22, 2009, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Sunlight and Eolus Rooms at the Durango Recreation Center.

Public input is sought for an ordinance the City intends to pass later this year that will streamline the solar installation process, ensure that solar installations are allowable citywide and promote the use of solar power in Durango.

City residents are asked to come prepared with comments, concerns and ideas on solar power.
