Plastic Collection Resumes at City’s Recycling Center

Durango, CO: The City of Durango will begin collecting #1 and #2 plastic bottles and jugs on Monday, February 27th at the City’s Recycling Center, located at 710 Tech Center Drive.

The City will only accept #1 and #2 plastic containers at the Recycling Center and through its curbside recycling program. The City will not be accepting plastic materials at the other public drop-off locations. To ensure that your plastic bottles and jugs are #1 or #2 type plastics, please reference the triangular recycling symbol on the bottom of the containers – they are typically plastic containers that have openings that are smaller than the base of the containers.
