San Juan Basin Health H1N1 Vaccination Clinics Dec. 11 and Dec. 12
San Juan Basin Health will be holding its final targeted H1N1 flu clinics specifically for priority groups on Friday, December 11th from 10-2 at San Juan Basin Health and on Saturday, December 12 from 10-1 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Extension Building and Bayfield Elementary School.
Along with the previous groups eligible for these clinics, including all individuals up to age 24, will be individuals of any age who have a chronic health condition. Additionally, children age 9 and under who received an H1N1 vaccination before November 15th can come to this clinic to receive their second dose (necessary for children 9 and under). Or, they can call their pediatrician to see if they have it available. H1N1 vaccinations are free at this clinic.
Individuals who want seasonal flu or pneumonia shots can also receive them at the Friday, December 11th clinic at San Juan Basin Health. Seasonal flu shot costs $25. Rocky Mountain HMO and Medicare insurance are accepted. Please bring your insurance cards with you. Also offered at this clinic will be the Tdap (tetanus and whooping cough booster) and pneumonia immunizations. This Flu Protection Plus program enables adults to catch up on recommended vaccines. The cost for these vaccinations is $14.70 for anyone.
