La Plata County April Numbers

We have the latest La Plata County residential real estate transactions this week. With 93 total sales, it was a strong month. There were more sales than April of last year, as well as the highest number of sales so far in 2019!

Year to date, we are at 285 total sales, compared to 296 total sales through this time last year—slightly lower, but not a drastic difference. The median sales price is $371,200. The 2018 median sales price was $387,500. Although slightly lower than the median sales price from 2018, the current median sales price is higher than several of the previous years. The average days on the market is 140, compared to 127 last year. This does indicate a slower sales cycle than the last handful of years.

We are about to enter what is historically our peak season—May through August tend to be some of our strongest months of the year. This will be a good gauge to see how the year will shape up in terms of total real estate transactions. As always, if you have any questions we would love to discuss with you.
