La Plata County Colorado Aassociation of Realors Numbers for June

This week, we have the latest real estate numbers for La Plata County for the month of June. The attached charts show a detailed breakdown of several market segments in La Plata County, showing La Plata County as a whole, Durango In-Town, Durango Rural, Bayfield In-Town, Bayfield Rural, Ignacio In-Town, Ignacio Rural, and Durango Mountain Area.

These charts indicate the statistics and key metrics for single family homes and townhouses/condos, including new listings, sold listings, median sales price, and more. They compare June 2017 to June 2018, and year to date information for both years. We also see the rolling 12 month median sales price for single family homes and townhouses/condos in these segments. We always appreciate these charts to be able to spot trends within our local market, and compare results to previous years.

La Plata County single family homes had fewer new listings and fewer sold listings for the month of June this year compared to June 2017, and we see the same trend year to date: fewer new listings and fewer sold listings this year compared to last. However, we see the median sales price is higher both this June compared to last, and year to date this year compared to last year at this time. The La Plata County townhouse/condo market saw fewer new listings and fewer sold listings this June compared to last, but a higher median sales price. Year to date, there are fewer new listings and fewer sold listings, as well as a lower median sales price.

Durango In-Town single family homes had a solid month of activity with both new listings and the median sales price this June compared to last. Year to date, we see the same trend: more new listings and a higher median sales price, although fewer sold listings.

Durango Rural single family homes had a stellar month in terms of sold listings this June compared to last, and it is also encouraging to see a higher median sales price this June compared to last. Also, the Durango Rural townhouse/condo market has solid year to date numbers compared to last year at this time. There is a higher number of new listings and a higher number of sold listings, although a lower median sales price.

Durango Mountain Area’s single family home market also shows solid year to date numbers. There is a higher number of new listings and a higher number of sold listings, and a slightly lower median sales price compared to last year at this time. It is encouraging to see the strong activity in this market segment.

As always, we encourage you to take a look at each market segment, as these reports allow us to analyze the various areas of La Plata County real estate in depth. We would love to discuss further with you, should you have any questions. Also, we will be hosting an open house on Sunday from 10-12 at one38 townhomes. Stop by and say hello!
